about us

The Cyclone Group seeks to help consumer goods entrepreneurs weather the start up storm.  We bring a 360 degree approach to our clients with first hand experience start to finish – from initial vision to refining strategic plans, from raising capital to scaling, to eventual strategic partnership and exit.  Our sweet spot lies in pre launch through growth phase small consumer goods companies.  For problems we can’t wholly solve internally, we have a vast network of serial entrepreneurs, investors, and consultants to bring into projects for additional support.  The Cyclone Group’s advisory approach not only applies to the strategic consulting work, but also to the intense psychological effects of being an entrepreneur. Some of what sets us apart is working in tandem towards solutions for the mental health effects of hard work, stress and dedication to ‘living the dream’.

True to its name, The Cyclone Group was founded in the midst of 2020 chaos by Bridget C Firtle.  Like most entrepreneurs, Firtle’s path to establishing The Cyclone Group was unconventional.  After business school, her career began at a hedge fund as a consumer goods investor with a focus in global alcoholic beverage companies.  Several years later, in 2012, Bridget saw an opportunity to join the renaissance occurring in American distilling – with a vision cultivated, she jumped ship from lucrative Wall Street life, bet it all and founded Owney’s Rum -- needless to say, Bridget hasn’t looked back from the entrepreneurial game since.  Five short years after launching Owney’s, Firtle formed a strategic partnership with a large spirits company and in early 2020 she successfully exited the relationship to move on to new adventures including this little consulting agency. Most recently, on the last day of the summer in 2020, Bridget launched a line of non alcoholic functional beverages, sparkling waters infused with powerful plants and herbs inspired by her hometown — ROCKAWAY

Firtle holds finance degrees from McGill University (Bachelor of Commerce) and Binghamton University (MBA) and has been recognized nationally in Forbes (30 Under 30), The Financial Times, Newsweek, The NY Times, WSJ, Business Insider (Under 40 Entrepreneur to Watch 2021) and CNBC amongst other publications.  In her free time you can find the proud native New Yorker in the ocean, riding stationary bikes in the dark, drinking all types of drinks, laughing hard, practicing yoga, eating plants and dancing like nobody’s watching.
